Hogwarts tragedy

I regret to inform you all that a student, Hannah Abbott, was killed this morning at Hogwarts. A professor, Rabastan Lestrange, was also injured.

Students, please remain in your Common Rooms as we deal with the consequences of this tragic event. Classes are cancelled for the remainder of the day. Parents need not worry; your children are safe as houses.

More information will be forthcoming when the course of events has been properly ascertained.

As far as I can tell, Hannah Abbott and Hydra Lestrange somehow managed to provoke Amycus Carrow into attempting to kill them. Percy Weasley and Rabastan were also present. Percy is rather incoherent and Rabastan took a hex for Hydra, thus is in no state to explain further.

MLE will be necessary.

Carrow is currently isolated, but I daren't enter, even to issue medical assistance. I don't know if he is hurt. I haven't the training for this.

Madam Pomfrey shooed us off again. Percy's not there, guess he's with the Headmistress. None of us have heard from him yet. We're on our way back to the Common Room.

Nev's peeled off to go to the greenhouses. He's real broken up about Abbott. Guess he was starting to fancy her.

When she first said that a student had been killed, I had to read it ten times before I sorted out that it wasn't Neville or Evelyn.

It's all I can do to convince Frank to stay here until we hear further. If the situation isn't ongoing, we'd only risk a run-in with the MLE, but goodness.
